Nicolle Metal and Lloyd Loom Chair

Nicolle Upholstered Dining Chair

Our Nicolle Upholstered Dining Chair  is a timeless piece that has been a part of a collection manufactured in France since 1933. As part of the French Cafe Industrial Style, these chairs have become a style icon known for their robustness and comfort.

With frames crafted completely of steel, the Nicolle Upholstered Dining Chair possesses an elegant, industrial style that is accentuated by the unique design features. These include the classic Lloyd Loom upholstered seat, as well as the swan neck and whale tail shaped backrest.

The backrest is positioned perfectly to provide maximum comfort and flexes slightly left and right as you move your back. Alternatively, the backrest can be removed, transforming the chair into a stool.

A significant aspect of this model is the rattan style Lloyd Loom Woven Fiber seat, which is manufactured to our specifications by the renowned Vincent Shepherd. Lloyd Loom was created in 1917 by Marshall Burns Lloyd and is more robust, supple and comfortable than rattan. It is made of KRAFT paper wrapped around a galvanized iron wire, woven and then varnished.

In addition, the steel frames feature an epoxy finish. The Nicolle Upholstered Dining Chair is available in the colors shown under the ‘Standard Colors & Finishes Tab’ or can be customized to any of nearly 200 RAL finishes.
